Ken Levy
Chairman of the Board

Kenneth Levy has been an entrepreneur and corporate executive for over 35 years.

He founded KLA Instruments in 1976 and served as it's CEO and then Chairman until 2006. Upon his retirement he was named Chairman Emeritus of the Company.

During his tenure at the company, KLA-Tencor went from a development stage company to one with sales of over $2 Billion and a market cap in excess $10 Billion. Today it is one of the five largest companies in the Semiconductor Capital Equipment Industry.

Mr. Levy has received numerous awards, including the "SEMMY" Semiconductor Equipment and Materials Institute award in the area of wafer fabrication, the SEMI Lifetime Achievement award, the Silicon Valley Hall of Fame, and he was elected as a member of the National Academy of Engineering. Over the past 25 years, Mr. Levy has been active in helping to build Israeli hi-tech companies. In addition to investing in a number of Technology companies his spearheaded the establishment of KLA-Tencor Israel and served on a number of Israeli Boards including Saifun, Aprion, Scitex Digital, PowerDsine, Genoa, and DigiFlex. For his contributions to Israeli Industry, he was awarded the "State of Israel Jubilee Award" by Prime Minister Netanyahu.

Ken Levy has a BSEE from City College of New York and MSEE from Syracuse University.

Isaac Mazor
Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Mazor has served as founder and CEO of Jordan Valley Semiconductors since the mid 1990s, and is the co-inventor of many Jordan Valley patents. Prior to forming Jordan Valley, he was a key partner in the founding of KLA-Israel's overlay business as a VP of Engineering and New Business Development. For three years of his tenure at KLA-Israel, he was located in the United States, where he co-authored KLA-Israel's most important patent for CPM technology and a key patent for overlay. From 1978 to 1986, he was the engineering manager for the wafer dicing division of Kulick & Soffa-Israel, at which time he and his team were awarded the Rothschild Prize in 1985. During the early 1990s, Mr. Mazor was a founder and a seed investor of SELA–the leader in sample preparation for failure analysis.

Mr. Mazor received a B.Sc. and M. Sc. with honors in electrical engineering from Technion-Israel Institute of Technology and holds an Executive MBA from Stanford University.

Amos Gvirtzman
Chief Operating Officer

Amos Gvirtzman has more than 20 years of management experience in the analytic market. In addition to the management position he holds at Jordan Valley, he has been extensively involved in both the development and sales of the company's products. Amos possesses a depth of experience in X-ray technology, worldwide marketing, and business management.

Mr. Gvirtzman holds a B.Sc. with honors in Electrical Engineering from Case Institute of Technology.

Avi Lifshitz
Chief Financial Officer

Avi Lifshitz has been at the helm of Jordan Valley's financial efforts for the past ten years. He is a partner in the certified public accounting firm of Meiri-Lifshitz and has 20 years' experience in accounting, finance and business management. He lectures at the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology where he won an award for excellence in 1998.

Mr. Lifshitz is certified as a public accountant in Israel and holds a B.A. in economics and accounting from Haifa University.

Matthew Wormington
Chief Technology Officer

Matthew Wormington has 20 years of experience in the field of X-ray characterization and metrology of semiconductor and thin-film materials. Prior to joining JV in 2008, he worked for 17 years at Bede plc and held various applications, development and software roles.

Mr. Wormington holds a BSc(Hons) in Physics from the University of Birmingham, UK and undertook postgraduate studies at the University of Warwick, UK under the supervision of Prof. D. Keith Bowen. He has authored or co-authored more than 25 publications and has several awarded and pending JV patents.
