Marketech wins order and will provide service and applications support; signs distribution agreement with Jordan Valley for Taiwan, China and Singapore
Austin, TX, June 8, 2006
Jordan Valley has secured a multi-million dollar, multi-system order for its new JVX™ 6200 X-ray metrology system from an Asian memory manufacturer. This second-generation platform from Jordan Valley offers three metrology channels on the system, XRR (X-Ray Reflectivity), XRF (X-Ray Fluorescence) and SAXS (Small Angle X-Ray Scattering) for high-speed, non-destructive characterization of all film types.
The systems, which will be delivered throughout Q3 this year, will be used for copper seed barrier and metal films metrology applications. The next-generation platform offers significantly improved cost of ownership and higher throughput; improved ease of use and extendibility; and the addition of the SAXS capability for measurement of pore size and distribution of low-k dielectrics, capable of determining pore diameters down to sub-10 angstrom.
"We believe this order is significant because it validates that high-volume, production fabs want and need the new features of the JVX 6200 system," commented Isaac Mazor, Jordan Valley CEO. "This manufacturer will be using the tools for a range of applications, including the copper seed barrier layer, for simultaneous thickness, density and roughness measurements. And with the service and applications assistance they will receive from Marketech, they should have the systems in place and working seamlessly shortly after installation. "
In related news, Marketech has signed a distribution agreement with Jordan Valley to supply sales support, service, applications and spare parts for Taiwan, China and Singapore. They are headquartered in Taipei, Taiwan with branches in Hsinchu and Tainan and factories in Hukou and Tainan Science Park. Marketech operations include facilities in China, Singapore, and the U.S.
