Korean firm specializes in semiconductor metrology; will help Jordan Valley continue to introduce x-ray metrology solutions in Korea
Austin, TX, October 4, 2006
Jordan Valley has signed an agreement with OpenDream of Korea for sales and support of their x-ray metrology equipment to the Korean semiconductor marketplace. OpenDream has a unique position in Korean with its strong background in semiconductor metrology.
“When you’re introducing a new technology into the thin film metrology market,” commented Sean Jameson, Jordan Valley’s vice president, “there is another level of customer and market education that’s required. We feel OpenDream is the exact fit we were looking for in Korea because of their unique expertise in metrology. In-line x-ray metrology solutions are often seen as disruptive to currently accepted measurement technologies, but OpenDream has a great track record of working with the large Korean semiconductor manufacturers with new, innovative solutions.”
Besides their emphasis in film metrology, OpenDream also specializes in metal contamination, adhesion, wafer thickness and stress related products and processes. They will provide sales, service and applications support for Jordan Valley; the agreement goes into effect immediately. For more information about OpenDream, please refer to their web site, www.opendream.com.
