Jordan Valley's senior management team is led by professionals with decades of experience in semiconductor manufacturing technologies. These industry veterans keep Jordan Valley at the very forefront of metrology innovation, and ensure that customers receive superior service and support. Kalman Kaufman Chairman of the BoardKalman Kaufman served as Corporate Vice President of Applied Materials Corporation. He was President of the Front End Semiconductor Business Unit and later Head of the Corporate Strategy Board and the New Business Development and M&A; divisions. Previous to Applied Materials he was co founder and President of KLA Instruments Israel, and General Manager of Kulicke and Soffa, Israel. In addition, Mr. Kaufman founded Waterfronts—a national non-profit organization promoting The Israeli Water Industry. He serves as a member of the board of directors of Tower Semiconductors and of several other private companies and is venture partner at Israel Seed VC. He also serves on the board of the Kineret Academic College and the Technoda Science Institute for young children. He earned engineering degrees from the Technion Institute of Technology and is the author of several patents in optical microscopy, photonics and instrumentation. Isaac Mazor Chief Executive OfficerMr. Mazor has served as founder and CEO of Jordan Valley Semiconductors since the mid 1990s, and is the co-inventor of many Jordan Valley patents. Prior to forming Jordan Valley, he was a key partner in the founding of KLA-Israel's overlay business as a VP of Engineering and New Business Development. For three years of his tenure at KLA-Israel, he was located in the United States, where he co-authored KLA-Israel's most important patent for CPM technology and a key patent for overlay. From 1978 to 1986, he was the engineering manager for the wafer dicing division of Kulick & Soffa-Israel, at which time he and his team were awarded the Rothschild Prize in 1985. During the early 1990s, Mr. Mazor was a founder and a seed investor of SELA–the leader in sample preparation for failure analysis. Mr. Mazor received a B.Sc. and M. Sc. with honors in electrical engineering from Technion-Israel Institute of Technology and holds an Executive MBA from Stanford University. Amos Gvirtzman Chief Operating OfficerAmos Gvirtzman has more than 20 years of management experience in the analytic market. In addition to the management position he holds at Jordan Valley, he has been extensively involved in both the development and sales of the company's products. Amos possesses a depth of experience in X-ray technology, worldwide marketing, and business management. Mr. Gvirtzman holds a B.Sc. with honors in Electrical Engineering from Case Institute of Technology. Avi Lifshitz Chief Financial OfficerAvi Lifshitz has been at the helm of Jordan Valley's financial efforts for the past ten years. He is a partner in the certified public accounting firm of Meiri-Lifshitz and has 20 years' experience in accounting, finance and business management. He lectures at the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology where he won an award for excellence in 1998. Mr. Lifshitz is certified as a public accountant in Israel and holds a B.A. in economics and accounting from Haifa University. Boris Yokhin, Ph. D. Chief Technology OfficerBoris Yokhin has served with Jordan Valley since 1995, first as Senior Physicist and currently as Chief Technology Officer. Prior to his tenure at Jordan Valley, Mr. Yokhin accrued more than 20 years of research and development experience in nuclear physics and X-ray technologies. He held the position of Senior Science Fellow at the Radium Institute in Leningrad, Russia. Mr. Yokhin holds an M.S. degree in nuclear physics from Leningrad University and a Ph.D. in Physics from the Radium Institute. He is the author of 22 patents and over 30 published scientific papers.
